Meet Gina
My professional story begins at the Carsten Institute in Phoenix. I graduated with a dream to make a difference and to use my passion for creativity to help bring joy to the world. The Carsten way is the only way I know. I believe in the Carsten technique and philosophy that's taught worldwide.
In 2004, I began working out of Salon Central, where I shared a salon suite with two other co-workers. Doing so allowed us to have time to build our business while keeping costs low. We stay in close contact and make time to catch up at the ISSE Salon and Spa Expo in Long Beach, CA.
It's essential to hone your craft and perfect your skills, but not at the cost of learning a new hairstyling technique. I'm always looking for new and exciting hair trends and love it when clients seek out change. There's nothing more rewarding than to see a client walk out of the salon with confidence.
After a while, clients become more than clients as I get to know them and their families. From time to time, my family will come in, and they'll have a chance to meet my husband and two kids. Over the years, I have seen my client's kids grow to become collegiate athletes, teachers, academic scholars, and start families of their own. I'm thankful I had the pleasure of knowing them and witnessing their accomplishments.
